As Rolyn’s President, Mark is responsible for the development of Rolyn’s strategic direction and the implementation of its corporate vision. Rolyn has continued to grow due to Mark’s business development strategy, which is aimed at increasing customers through excellence in customer service. Company-wide, he is responsible for setting up measurable standards of performance for each department and measuring that performance against established goals. In conjunction with the Rolyn staff, he establishes company-wide systems and procedures for reporting, project controls, financial controls, and employee relations.
On a daily basis, Mark guides Rolyn to be a company with a conscience, focused on client satisfaction, while also trying to make a positive difference in the lives of Rolyn employees. He is responsible for the coordination, planning, budgeting, and implementation of Rolyn’s day-to-day operations. He directly oversees the sales, marketing, and administrative departments along with the general managers of all of Rolyn’s locations. His everyday focus is how to provide the clients with a better remediation, restoration, decontamination, and disaster recovery service that is unmatched by any other in the industry.
Prior to joining Rolyn, Mark served as Rolyn's general counsel for over twenty years, as the senior partner of the Maryland law firm Futrovsky, Forster & Scherr, Chartered. Mark received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and his law degree from the University of Baltimore, School of Law. In his free time, Mark enjoys traveling and hanging out with his growing family and longtime friends.
Mark is actively involved as a board of member of a number of local charities and civic organizations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Suburban Hospital/ Johns Hopkins Medicine, and the Jewish Foundation for Group Homes where he regularly enjoys calling bingo for the group home residents.
